An unexpected message led to an impromptu backcountry adventure Tuesday evening. 

I was introduced to Jeff Mart with a text message just a few hours before setting off for Mount Rainier National Park with him. He was somewhere in the middle of a two month-ish cross country journey, and in need of an adventure buddy. I was happy to fill the role.
